History of the Vanguardz

The Vanguards were founded in Age 965 by Cacique Julian Osei to combat the various genocidal operations made by Lord Vihn. It initially had strong links to ragtag mercenary groups and sellswords. It was based at a military airbase in East Tortuga island in the Karaya Kingdom, but in Age 970, later relocated to Vihn's former Mansion in Lion Hill, Mucaro Island. It maintains strong links to various branches of the Karaya Kingdom.

It is a private organization that receives funding from several major governments (mostly the Karaya Kingdom and Cacique Union) and other countries. The main Vanguards Organization comprises of Seven Families that stood together during the Invasion of Lord Vihn.
 

Cacique Julian served as Leader until Age 975, when he stepped down to return to fieldwork and focus on recruiting promising agents. The current Leader is Cacique Zarah Osei. 
 

The Vanguards is a well-known and respected organization with excellent relations with most international governments and Karaya Kingdom agencies, such as the Marshals, an elite policing task force of mages.
